About First Biomedical, Inc.
Our History
First Biomedical, Inc. (FBI) was founded in May 1998 by Tom Creal and Dan Wassall.
Originally, FBI focused solely on renting and selling infusion pumps. As the business
grew, its scope expanded to include selling and servicing emergency services equipment and
selling a wide variety of disposable items. The company's presence in the equipment service area also exploded, and we began to build a full-service,
in-house biomedical department.
By May of 2003, after only 5 years of providing IV pumps and other equipment to
the medical community, total sales had increased by more than 300%.
Current Snapshot
Today, FBI is a leader in the medical device industry.
We employ more than 30 professionals in two full-service office locations and multiple
delivery-only stations. We provide medical equipment and disposable pump tubing
to meet alternate
site and hospital customers' infusion device requirements.
As the self-proclaimed "Pump People," we rent, lease, sell and service a wide variety of I.V. pumps,
syringe pumps, enteral pumps, SCD's, and related infusion products and medical devices. Our customer list includes some of the country's
foremost
healthcare institutions, including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and City of Hope
in California and Children's Mercy Hospital and Alternacare Home Care in the
Kansas City area.
From our World Headquarters, centrally located near Kansas City, and
from our office in Anaheim, CA, we ship rental pumps overnight to anywhere in the
United States and Canada. We ship rental pumps from our office in Memphis, TN as
well. We maintain shipping facilities in several major
U.S. metropolitan areas to meet the high demand for same-day delivery of infusion pump rentals
in those areas.
Our in-house service department provides a full range
of biomedical service for infusion pumps, defibrillators, SCD's and most other
general medical equipment. Our biomedical technicians are factory trained and draw on years
of industry experience to complete guaranteed preventative maintenance and repairs. We pride
ourselves on our prompt turnaround and accurate repair estimates.

FBI believes its growth is due to the company's dedication to customers and to employees alike.
We plan to continue improving and expanding our facilities and the technology and training available to our staff. In the chaotic healthcare market, we know we must constantly stay on top of the technology curve. We will continue to expand the products and
